even in a world without money, people slaughtered others to get their resources, water, game, land...women...and made slaves of those they did not kill. Indeed, people shared what they had among their own people, their own tribes...or communities...but if an outsider came, or they lacked something another tribe/community had, they would chase them off the land, kill them, or war with them, often rather than trade.

Not always, there are plenty examples of when Europeans 1st came to the Americas and the Caribbean. Of native peoples sharing freely there homes food, and trade goods. Unfortunately this did not last long. Due to the Europeans wanting all the land and resources. Which lead to bloodshed and warfare. And there lands being stolen.

Greed rules us. It's sad...there use to be more caring more sharing. More thought of family and friends

Comes down to one thing ,,,,,GREED!!!!!1 the most prevalent disease in the world today.😵😡😡

Please, tell us about a world after money 🙏🏻

Sad but true 😞

Really!? I have a friend like that, when she gets into that mode I see her as a narcissistic creep. She becomes a danger to herself and to others. I read something somewhere once that makes a lot of sense to me...'Too much virtue, is always a vice'.

I don't know, I believe in it, and that's why I can't stop jerking off. Im in love with myself so much, that nobody can even come remotely close to loving me in the ways that I want and need. Solipsism and narcissism definitely has it's privileges.

I wish it was that simple people. There are a vast number of variables both biological and environmental, Trauma, disruption in developmental growth in young adulthood and basic genetics. I would agree that there needs to be paradigm shift in how we treat addiction.

I would tend to agree with this. I beat drugs booze and tobacco but foods got me. I would love to break the addiction to shoving food in my face every time I am lonely. There has to be a connection.

Idk about that. Maybe for some. I for the life of me can’t seem to quit cigs cuz of stress and need to get out of my work place for 5mins. Is that because of not having a connection lol no...

Very simple. Humans have an inherent 'need' to be apart of, to be connected. Human beings know intuitively that they cannot survive this experience of life alone. Humans also have an inherent instinct to self-identify. Yet, those two objectives do not play well with each other. Every single determination regarding self serves to separate one from all else. As we separate ourselves through perceptions of difference we separate ourselves from others, we create threat, fear. And we are left to survive these fears on our own. As Bill Wilson penned years ago, "separated from the sunlight of the spirit". That is addiction. It's physiological effect is science and can be understood with limitation as such. But, the true nature of addiction is spiritual, (that which you truly believe to be real, yet can't prove). Exactly why addiction knows no boundaries, anyone, any time, for any reason. No one is exempt; you're eligible to.

I'd highly recommend the book Chasing the Scream by Johann Hari on this subject. It's a wonderfully moving read.

Rick Contreras NO NO SI SON ADICTOS ES PORQUE ME ODIAN O LES FALLE!!!... they told us a wrong story, its our job to decide if we belive it or not...

Not really, for me it is being lied too. Working on the smokes now.

Debra Kan This is a powerful New move ment in healing addiction Still a complex issue yet New hope .

While I understand the message I would like to remind that men and boys can be sexually assaulted too and some how that manages to stay hidden, especially if a woman did the abusing. I feel for all sexual assault victims no matter the gender and no matter which gender perpetrated the crime. 🤐

Conversations about rape and sexual harassment aren’t about passive voice. They’re about statistics. Women report being raped. Teenage girls report harassment and pregnancy. Men don’t call 9-1-1 and say, “I just raped a woman!” Men and boys don’t say, “I sexually harassed a girl!” (Unless they were elected President.) If a woman says she was raped, you can pretty safely conclude a man did it. (Same thing if a man reports being raped.) If a teen gets pregnant, a man or boy did it. Violence doesn’t happen in a vacuum. We have to talk about what we know, and support the victims. Not focusing on the man doesn’t mean we’re not considering the evil perpetrator of the act. It just means we don’t know who he is...yet.

That is so perfect, because men rape men too. In so many of the posts men are complaining that women should not be the center of attention in the whole sexual assault stage because men get raped too. What they don't say is that men are raping men. So we really do need to turn our language around and talk about what men are doing. Men are raping, assaulting, and violating other people, animals and the planet. Now that we name the guilty party, we can focus on more effective solutions than just asking women what they were wearing, or why they were in that bar in the first place.

I’m guessing it’s because it’s not always men or boys committing these acts? Additionally, why are we drawing parallels between rape/sexual harassment and teen pregnancy? These are completely different.

This is such a great point, and one I have never considered. The closest I ever came to it was when I'd hear, "She went out and got herself pregnant". And I'd usually say, "Really, she did that all by herself?" Thank you, Jackson Katz, for waking me up to this. Me too!

As an ESL teacher, i've always defended the use of Passive voice, specially in Buisness English...but you nailed it!

have said this for years, and yes agree with you too Pat, it happens both to men and women but you must agree more to women. Social stigma, says "oh single mum" etc etc, well how did she get that way, and then that person moves onto another and another, education for both girls and boys is needed, RESPECT EACH OTHER MORE

If words were a commodity, which ones would you buy. That's a quote from the book, has given me a reminder to choose mine carefully ❤

Little things that matter. Be minful with words! Boy are not bad...neither are girls. But everybody should take responsibility.

Men & boys have every right to say "Me Too" and they should! Where do they go or call for help! Women can do horrible things too!

I agree...I think that is called "sexism" the gender equivalent of racism....a biased view point...

People scream there should be more accountability in our world...women are no longer taking the blame.

Check out, 'Response Based Practice' . . . towards dismantle the colonisations, for Justice, Dignity, Truth-telling . . . Freedom xxx 🙂

So subtle but so important!

Its an extremely thought- provoking issue.

Women can't even participate in #MeToo without guys screaming sexism. Right now the narrative is about assault and harassment that women face. Who is doing it to us...males (mostly) yet we can't even have the discussion without the guys trying to take this from us. I'm not ready to share this narrative with a guy. I need to stand in solidarity with women and girls first.

Thank-You! I am now awake in regards to this matter of passive voice.

Alicia Gordon - let's start helping others use the correct language on this issue 🙂

must be some man behind this all 🤨

I would have to agree with this clarity of these phrases.

What about all the violence committed against men??! Gender bullshit

Thank you. Great point...you are right, Jackson Katz😮

there are over 33 million women residing in the UK. do something about it.......

wow, that resonates

I get this and I applaud this but I've also read that, when they retire and finally have time to do whatever, the vast majority of people spend all their time doing exactly three things: eating, sleeping, watching TV. Which suggests that maybe most people don't actually have a passion and don't actually use free time well. In which case, working might be the next best thing. If you actually have a passion and can figure out how to pursue it, go for it. But don't assume that life is going to be rosy if you just quit your job and do something else.

And to make it even more pressing do not count on the last decade either you will be dealing with physical decline

That's great except when one HAS to wait to save money or get out of debt to pursue that thing. That's just reality.

I have also drawn the same time line for my students that come from broken homes and difficult circumstances. I stress that this challenging time in their lives is relatively short. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

I have drawn the same time line for my students. I stress that although the time they spend in school is minute compared to the rest of their lives, it has a huge impact on what types of life the enjoy.

I just read, "men live to 75 & women 82." I love the peacefulness & freedom to do whatever I want. I especially love being totally free of all the STUFF we thought was so important. It WASN'T & still isn't. <3

This makes me so sad. I'm almost 30! I haven't done so many things. What if I never get to because I'll be too tired by the time I ha e the time and means to.

Too bad a bloke can be happy with the people he/she works with (and, therefore happy AT work), but not make enough money to be comfortable and, therefore, happy in life... :/

My Guru Swami Satyananda Saraswati says, ' Don't let the transient bind the eternal' - You can place everything in this if you realize that you will take your karmic account, spiritual evolution (not religious) into the future births until one is free from the cycle.

What about the boys and men who experience this?!?! They are not victimless! They are usually condemned, made fun of, told they wanted it, shamed, told to suck it up...where's their voice? Oh, that's right, they're the villians, regardless. And it's not always men victimizing those that have been sexually assaulted.

Women are targets from the moment they are born, I tried to teach my boys that we are not objects, I hope they got the lesson? From what I can see today, I do believe I drove the message home. Respect is the one word that is understood and demanded internationaly but for some human reason is difficult to come by.

But it's not just women. Men get sexually assulted and raped too and can't really speak out about it either. We need to remember that rape culture encompasses all genders, non-genders, or any variation thereof and work to fix the problems across the board.

All the peace/love/joy/enlightenment texts don't do much. I thought it it was my fault. In some small corner of my mind I still do. Peace and harmony are great concepts. But they mean nothing to a child who has never known love. Who truly believes that what her father is doing is the result of her own bad behaviour. Who tries to be perfect and doesn't understand what she did wrong. Who doesn't understand that this is WRONG. As a child you may be - intentionally - isolated. Not allowed to have friends or adults in your life who will tell you this is NOT YOUR FAULT. Maybe until you reach the point that you know you are going to die if you stay. I mean that literally. YOU ARE CONVINCED - IN YOUR GUT - That you will die. Maybe you - as I - tried suicide as a way out. But as a child - in a world long before the internet - it wasn't easy and I thank God or whoever for that. I got out. But the scars never fade. And it wasn't peace, harmony, or God that saved me. IT WAS ME!!

Someone I know used the word STAGGERING in his post about how many of us are chiming in with Me, Too. It IS staggering. Mind blowing. Unfathomable.

Communist Agenda being propogated through Uplift Connect. Women are safe in India, The Defence minster of India is a Lady. Women are not safe in Sweden and Afghanistan where we have fanatics raping white women speak something about them. Absolutely ridiculous piece of work and photography. Shame on this article.

This is also in India, Thais never gets highlighted in the media. Our honourable lady is a kick ass defence minister addressing a commander conference. We rever women as our goddess. We had our lady Prime minister in 1960s When are you getting your First Lady president?

Excellent act... I hope this proves to be an eye opener to the Govt and it's bad governance... When a Govt is focused in turning to be a lobby to the business alone and not abide by the democracy, this is what you can expect

Uplift Connect- Highlighting news in a negative way or any negative news about India as such, sells well as per the stereotypes. Didn't expect you guys to fall for it. There is absolutely no connection between cow protection and women protection in India. Both happen but not at the cost of one another. The event highlighted here was organised by the elite English speaking people who have little understanding of real India. Good event to create headlines though. if one is really interested to know about the situation of women protection in India- talk to 10 ladies ( more than just a few) who have lived (not visited) in India as well as a country in Europe or North America- I am more than confident that you will find that India is not worse than other countries. As far as Indian media is concerned (not all but majority) , especially the English one- they are known universally to lie and exaggerate regularly to capture headlines.

Our so called liberals congress cpmi got too much sympathy towards rapist that's the reason insisted lot many changes to nirbhaya bill passed in parliament that's useless

This is so so wrong... Be strong..ladies.. Takes time for change.. Unfortunately sometimes too long... All women are in support and with you in spirit.. ♡

Why is it not surprising that again women come in last?

Duh! India is still the largest exporter of beef

Super idea, would like to see more of that kind of creativity here! This is how it is in the U.S.

John Lennon is a classic example of white male privilege. He was an abusive hack, mediocre at best yet we’ve all been trained to revere him as a gawd.

"When you're drowning, you don't say 'I would be incredibly pleased if someone would have the foresight to notice me drowning and come and help me,' you just scream." -John Lennon

I don't buy the idolatry just like I don't buy it with Mother Theresa. John Lennon didn't really write Imagine - Yoko did. He was a very angry person and his boys were the recipients of it. Come on! He wrote some good music but he wasn't a saint............not even close to it. Let's just get rid of all idolatry and just let people be what they were.

I love this thought... it is an expression... it doesn't need anyone's approval... just to see it, experience it and whether you like it or dislike it is relative! The perception of it is relative what made it Art was the expression of that person's point of view!

My mother used to tell me that money can't buy happiness. I used to answer her that she was right but that money can buy freedom I have dedicated my adult life on developing financial systems for the poor--so that they might benefit from that freedom. Freedom to visit doctors when they are sick; freedom to choose nutritious food; freedom to celebrate their children's births; freedom to send their kids to school; freedom to have dignity without needing to beg for life's simplest needs. Now you can tell me that money is a false god for folks who don't understand life's most important priorities and I will agree with you. But I can't agree that one, in the world in which we were all born, can find their way in the absence of money. Money buys freedom and dignity. Freedom and dignity give us the possibility of happiness.

The problem is not that adults wouldn't prefer to be happy, the problem is that we are sold money as a means for happiness and told that without money there isn't happiness. This is inaccurate, the sooner we realise that money and happiness are not connected the sooner we can start enjoying our life and what we are given, with or without money.

For any of those who say that money is that answer, believe me, happiness is a state of being, not how full your pockets are with cash. Think about it, too many men believe that success means having loads of sex, money, status, power, beautiful women, boy toys and the total admiration of other men. Once you've achieved all that, then you soon realize that phony people only want you because of what you have. Too many women think that if they can land a guy like I just described, then they'll be set for life. Well, you gits whut ya pays fer in this world. Ask anyone on their deathbed what they wish they would have done differently in life and you'll soon discover the truest meaning of happiness. What will be YOUR legacy? Peace

I Wish ti bè happy with a lot Friends well.. if After have many money...well, for make many. Many presents and dinners ti my Friends.....well thats my Ideal life!!!😊😊😊😊

Quote I have lived by: “Let me find out for myself whether money buys happiness or not. Don’t make me just believe your words”

ideas change easily and we are easily manipulated since we are very young and while we become adults our social system proposes a lifestyle which make people first prefer money.. basically sick people, volunteers, and elderly people choose their friends..

Money can't buy happiness....but it can sure go a LONG way to alleviate misery !

Layla Baines if we could have Buster back and go on an adventure up mountains camping 😀

Money can't buy happiness but i would rather be unhappy with it than without it.

Yep...I'd rather be unhappy with money than without.... Being on the breadline is hard...

it is ok and very possible to be rich and happy you know?

Why make it an “either-or” question? Are we saying they can not co-exist, at the same time?

It seems one is the other, nowadays.

Money... tried the happy thing. Isn't working for me...

Rich is supposed to make you happy if it doesn't then duh we all want to be happy!

Money = options. Options = freedom =happiness (or a much greater likelihood of happiness) 💕

Those who say money doesn't by happiness. I'll say that it's more comfortable to cry in a Mercedes.

If I'm Happy, I'm already rich!

When you'r happy, you'r rich

I'd be happy if I'd be rich

Happy!

Healthy.

Both

Rich.

happy!!

Its time we talked about sexual harassment and assault. #metoo

Comment on Facebook

The answer has to be 100% of women have been sexually harassed and / or sexually assaulted. I do not know of any who have not been [keeping in mind actions such as unwanted catcalling and wolf-whistling by strangers in public places, etc. counts- edited for more clarifcaton on 10/17/17]... and a very high percent would say multiple, if not countless times. This world can do much better...time to evolve!

This is a very important topic that transcends gender. No victim should be silenced due to it. #metoo #crushthesilence

Not sure I can support this effort. I believe we need to acknowledge a huge, huge difference between "Harassment and Assault." As Ashley Judd demonstrated; what is considered harassment is very subjective 🤔 These days a compliment can be considered harassment! Sticks & Stones...Cat calls vs rape...The numbers are very different.

I'm not understanding why anyone is arguing from this post. I truly am sorry to everyone who has been effected by sexual abuse or sexual harassment, etc. There's so much hate going around these days and hope for more positivity in any possible way. ☺

Emma Thomson spoke very feministically about this and inferred that men in general are sexual harrassers. We are not. Most men respect women highly and do not go around feeling up women at all.the attitude of many feminists should be focussed on the small minority of perpatrators. Like a vast majority of muslims are decent people and adapt well in a western society, most men are decent people and do not carry on like some women are portraying.

Me too. I was once told by a professional business man that my year 12 grades didn't look that impressive back in 1991, so I should do modelling cause I was good looking. Even went as far as telling me to do my hair up, wear nicer clothes and makeup. I was insulted. Today I own and run a very successful company, work from home with my husband and contribute to community groups and indigenous sports to help others. But that was the thinking back then.

And how about STALKING!! Anyone who In response to being rejected, stalks in retaliation is banished from EVER entering my good graces of trust. Such control freaks are passive aggressors from HELL!!!!!!!

It would really help if these women had spoken up when it happened so they could keep others from being raped and assaulted too. Hollywood is disgusting - they kept their mouths shut because the quid-pro-quo benefited them but now they can get a little sympathy so they all come out - how many more were assaulted because they worried more about their careers than the monsters they worked with.

Me too. From boss to co-workers, customers and one sexually suggestive well-known Aussie entertainer. All possessed inferior masculine behaviour and unfunny jokes used to manoeuvre their self-confirmed entitlement to do as they please.

I feel bad but I honestly don't feel that social media has the right to demand that we give up some very personal information to feed a trend. Yes, awareness is important. Honestly? I believe that if we truly comprehended the enormity of the problem and if every victim of assault or sexual harassment was identified; if that happened? We'd declare a day of mourning for all the women, men, and children who have been so grievously violated. But, I was sad to see that this is the passing trend today.

me too, gang raped at fourteen ,attempted rape at 25 sexually harrassed at 40,but let us not forget the men who are sexually assualted they have even less support than we woman,i can speak openly about my experiences not nearly as easy for men and they are as many

Me too from the age of 4- until I was 7. By an old man, neighbor. My mom thought I was playing with group of friends in street..,in the early 70's. When did playing in the streets with friends

It is terrible that this does take place.....and it is NOT ok! BUT....What about men who have been sexually harassed???? Oh! I'm sorry.... I forgot that this NEVER happens.... and IF it does....it is considered to be some sort of "Bonus" for the man!!!! 🙄🙄🙄

I don't think it would make a crock of difference to the people who are not interested. It might be a sad overwhelming idea to those of us who have been affected aswell.

Please correct to all PERSONS as many, many mens need to be heard and recognized in their suffering of having been assaulted/harrassed

Some people don't want to broadcast their pain on social media. It could be that we're afraid of who's stalking us, or it's too painful, or both.

Each gender is affected by this, so if you are all about inclusion...try a link for help for everone... not just women.

Me too!!! I was stalked and attacked with gasoline paint thinner which he made a shrine around me while I slept... Woke up to a strange man taking off my blanket!!! I was 19 yrs old but it feels like yesterday.. Wow can't believe I shared this!!! Thank you

#me too flashed at several times actually, groped in a crowd, teacher running finger over my bra strap, doctor examining my breasts when I’d gone to see him about my itchy scalp, hit in the back in a nightclub for objecting to a man running his hand up my skirt, groped on a school trip to Switzerland by stranger.... I think it’s so unbelievably common

THIS IS NOT FOR WOMEN ONLY! Y start fights to those brave enough to open up to everyone about something like this issue? Any woman who silences a male or child who was abused secially in order to 'fight the patriarchy' is a hypocritical terrible person. This is about the issue of sexual assault! There's no reason to tell someone who suffered a horrific event that they're not important!

Harassment isn't one way. Men and boys are subjected to this also. Also, I appreciate this call for attention to this issue. For those that have suffered, they often can't speak about it, for a multitude of reasons. Finding a safe person, or place to overcome is important.

This does NOT just relate to actresses. I'm an average hard working woman who was harassed by 2 of my male bosses. I was told by human resources- inhumane resources.....Oh just ignore him. Being groped, followed home. Etc. Ignore this!?. This was in a. Factory situation. Not only pretty actresses. But us women who bust our butts.

I can remember, sitting down to dinner with some nanny friends, we were all in our late teens early twenties, some of these girls were close friends others were girls I'd just met, we got talking & every one of us at the table had suffered some form of sexual assault or abuse, from serious child abuse to unwanted advances that had been seriously close to assault, so I've met more women who have been victims of men's abuse than haven't very sad inditement on the male populations behaviour.

That's the biggest load of bs I've ever heard. So me telling the world makes people see? . The majority know it's happens but unless it happens to their family or them they don't truthfully care that much. Out of sight, out of mind..etc etc. That's a insult to women who have dealt with their harassment or worse an have or are attempting to to move on. Mw putting two words won't make any difference. I hope it helps the people who feel it will but to people who feel guilted into saying it. You do not have to feel that way.

Voilence can be drawn from both sides of the gender chain too... domestic violence is a whole society problem.... good therapy, good guidance... helping even those who fall outside the system.... it would be a reasonable start to do with some good awareness...

Simple ❗ it's because they can't whistle 😀 .

why do whales sing? simple, because they can't give a speech

They sing because they are happy.... They sing because they are free! 😁😆😁😀

Silly question. We all sing in the shower. Whales LIVE in the shower. Of course they sing.

Because it's too hard to tap dance!

When you get in a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, Never Give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn."

God has no religion, and the Dali Llama repeats this, we need no religion only spirituality and love, it is that simple.

God is one the only one worthy of worship the almighty the creator of all. Prophet Mohammed is the last messenger and prophet. The Holy Quran is the word of god untainted and protected to the end of time. Do to others as you would have them do to you! Peace and love.

Graham Cooper truth be told .... religion is oppression in a fundamental form...praising a mythical god and destroying the natural world that represents all that is sacred is for fools.

My religion is love. The only truth is love. Our only calling is to love. Anything that is not based in love, including kindness, is fear. We are not intended to live in fear, just to love. Just to be a light.

That's all well and good as long as one doesn't hold a supernatural claim. I'd be interested to know what the Dalai Lama believes on insufficient evidence.

but i guess no religion would be better, never heard that god thing made a religion name, we humans did. and so caste creed and religion creates great divide

I have met him and this is totally bullshit. His religion is no better then others , only wanted to have money and people who work for them

KINDNESS is great since the word of GOD does say love your neighbour as you love yourself, so the dali lama will meet jesus

No religion, no holy books, just loving God and listening to him through prayer. He shows us the way always!

This is the one word to use. It is easy to say and very difficult to do. Keep trying and you can do it.

That's y your kindness allow to kill some innocent lifves

Rigghhht...said a religious leader lol. Go do something bro.

Nice and yes simple but not always practical.

#TheTruthAboutDalaiLama Dalai Lama is an apologist for murder and injustice.

Yep, pretty simple, yet so very hard for so many people to follow.

And China doesn't like your religion

LOVE is all there is! Unfortunately most humans are still in complete SERVICE OF SELF ONLY

Perhaps show some more to the Rohingya.

that's nice,but not a religion.

Every religion is kindness not only your. But people are unkind and making in religions.

That’s what Ziggy Marley sings about...😉

Actually it is Buddhism..

God wants us to be good do good be kind and compassionate. I try to abide by this beautiful principles in life.

i try being kind, then i get walked all over

I've been trying to find a way to explain my believes kindness I like that.

I love Tasha's parties! Amazing to dance in a space that feels free and open: a true celebration of life! The party I went to started with a group meditation to honor our connectedness to one another and to the Earth, and then, the dancing started! It was wild and fun, while also being a safe space that was respectful and welcoming to everyone. Also, and most importantly, any kind of predatory behavior was not permitted in any form. I believe this was announced clearly at the start of the party, straight after the meditation, to ensure everyone was clear on that... Also, the party started early, around dinner time, so I was able to enjoy an awesome evening of partying without feeling any need to sacrifice a good night's sleep! It doesn't get much better than that! Rock on, Tasha!

We’re alive! Meant to move... not to be restricted...

That's how I feel about it too!! Let's dance!! Not fight, but dance!

I've always felt the rhythm in my body...love to dance with abandon!

ABSOLUTELY!!! Pat Broadhurst, thank you for the reminders in the last two Reiki retreats!

Love this ❤️

A VERY good reminder!

Comment on Facebook

Hmm...my words, my behaviour etc. may trigger certain responses and reactions in some people. It's called influence. Everything is connected.

I choose (as in, make a choice) to permit other people's behavior to influence me...or not. I am the final arbiter on this, not them. I choose to be an individual. I am not a machine or game where someone can push a button or pull a lever and produce a result that I do not intend.

Of course the consequences of someone else's actions can be your responsibility--if harm was/is being done, good people have a responsibility to act to stop it/fix it.

Kimmi Florey this is what I keep talking about. Circle of control vs circle of influence. It's really hard to master. Never let the circle of influence shrink or penetrate your circle of control. You will never control the circle of influence.

So much guilt can be wiped away right here with realization of this statement. But also so much responsibility to build yourself to be the best you can be to respect others and importance that even do we are each our own individuals we are still all connected and we depend on each other and our behavior and words do make a change so we need to know what we want to reflect. Let's hope we all reflect light, positivity and care.

I would add: speaking up when you see or hear something that is not right. If we stay silent, ppl don't realize they may be doing or saying something that isn't right.

This post is meant to LOOSELY remind us to just worry about ourselves, not focus on others peoples issues etc. people are taking it too deep.

it will always be one's decision. No matter what. unless you are tied down or coerced to do something you dont want to.

part of my responsibility. is also my lack of words, actions, etc.

But others' actions/beliefs do ultimately affect me. We are all connected.

Should be posted in every classroom and office and referred to often

Very positive and very good reminder.

At least until you become a SPIRIT MASTER and seize control of reality! lol 😛

It's true, it will always be one's decision and very good reminder everyday, no matter what✨

That old saying to rise above and we lead by example comes to mind

All it takes for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing.

Annick Roncada, nog eentje voor aan de muur bij ons 😀

Sounds like ignores enything around me !

Note to self: read and heed this message every single day.

Remember. Nobody out there. It is just you and your thoughts.

Needs to be a poster and a t shirt.

Agree and with the help of.the Holy Spirit it's possible...He helps when we.asks...what.a peace and blessing flood our.souls then✨🙌💫🙌🌟🙌

I think it was Eleanor Roosevelt who said "no one can make you feel bad without your permission"

Suffering does bring an awareness that can't come from an easy life. What a gift you are KEVIN! How beautiful you want to share your story and how well-spoken you are that it resonates so much!

God Bless you Kevin. You found your purpose. He had a better plan for you...thanks for sharing, you may never know how many you will help💕

Such a powerful message. Huge admiration for this guy sharing his struggle and helping others understand the suffering and what it takes to recover and survive.

Thanks you for posting. Very powerful message. I made my first suicide attempt at the age of three. I have lived-experience of high-end trafficking and torture (including crucifixion). My parents were involved, so it is still hard for me to receive or feel love. today, I have only love and compassion for those who took their pain out on me. Still, some days, I feel all alone in the world. I get very tired of living. I've had great joys and pain in my life - I just want peace.

Wow. What a message. Let’s keep talking to one another. Let’s be there for each other. Let’s keep asking each other ‘are you ok?’

WOW that really is one powerful message Thank you so very much for sharing your story I believe that communication along with an understanding of that truth is our way forward Overcoming our fears in order to do this is the key Love and Light to you Kevin

Brittany Setter Bair you should post this on the page and remind everyone of your walk for suicide prevention see if more people want to sign up its a great message !

I've known people who think of suicide as a selfish act, they don't understand it's a desperate act. The pain is so great that you cannot think of anyone or anything else. Thanks for sharing and helping others through your story. May you always be Blessed...

I used the love button because I want to show support for anyone who is battling mental illness. My heart was breaking when I watched this man's story. Xo

The movie "the bridge" is heart breaking. Ill prob never forget Gene....soo sad to see the loss of hope.

God bless you. My brother was a survivor from jumping off that bridge. It was devastating I was only like 6 or 7 when it happened I was too young to understand but I now struggle with depression and anxiety and the deep feeling of being unwanted by everyone I love and it's a horrible feeling so please keep sharing your story because you are a gift from god.

This is powerful and maybe it can give hope to the next person who might need it, and maybe a bit of clarity to those that love those that are in need.❤thank you Kevin

Thanks for sharing. Your emotional and strong messages is received with a deep feeling of empathy and compassion. I'm sure it will reach many listeners.

Yes indeed everyone should read this because we all need to hear it. Most of us know someone who committed suicide, and many of us have know many who thought about it. We know so little about being truly alive, awake and aware and it is so important!!!

Thank to for sharing your story. I'm so glad you are coping with your issues, living your best life and helping others. That's great

Thank you Kevin. I bless you and yours. 😿✌ Mental Illness is a life long struggle in which there is no cure, only a life of struggles and achievements. We are strong ;

Brought me to tears....that horrible guilt of feeling like a burden to everyone....I know it well. Bless you for sharing your heart

Thank you Kevin for your courage to live and now share your wisdom with others who are suffering or family or friends of those contemplating suicide. ❤️

Thank you so much for your awesome life it is very helpful to a lot of people including myself re some family. Appreciated. Xx

The best message re suicide and mental health I have read. Thank you Kevin for your powerful brave story.

Thank you for your courage to speak your truth and share with other's that feeling of instant regret.

P. S. There are those who will judge me harshly for sharing these stories, but I refuse to be ashamed. If we don't get the dialogue going, nothing will change.

Dear person reading this,I hope your day has been going well, if not, I hope it gets better You are an amazing person who will inspire others to do great things so keep up the hard work. I know you may feel unimportant or insecure at the moment but know that you are a beautiful human being inside and out and you are important !Just trying to be nice on the internet, sometimes we just need such a message !I hope this comment helped you a bit and if not, I‘m sorry Sincerely, Me

Welp, we can't ban bridges so we better start caring about people's mental health <3

God bless you always you are important thank you for sharing and helping a lot of people.
