Having just experienced John Weddepohl's immersion into the true meaning of yoga, this writing serves as a beautiful reminder. Deep gratitude John and Rachel and thank you John O'Donohue. When the mind is festering with trouble or the heart torn, we can find healing among the silence of mountains or fields, or listen to the simple, steadying rhythm of waves. The slowness and stillness gradually takes us over. Our breathing deepens and our hearts calm and our hungers relent. When serenity is restored, new perspectives open to us and difficulty can begin to seem like an invitation to new growth.

This invitation to friendship with nature does of course entail a willingness to be alone out there. Yet this aloneness is anything but lonely. Solitude gradually clarifies the heart until a true tranquility is reached. The irony is that at the heart of that aloneness you feel intimately connected with the world. Indeed, the beauty of nature is often the wisest balm for it gently relieves and releases the caged mind.

all up and running Rachel....thanks!

Brilliant wording!!!

Once the two higher glands have been activated, there is no reason to try to sit still.

A jailbreak is what I need right now! Too bad you are so far away. However, that would truly be an escape.

not sure how to make this post public...

A World of People living life in abundant good health, prosperity, peace and happiness.

September 21st, 2015 is officially the International Day of Peace, and truly, it is only the beginning. We invite you to keep the feeling going, and keep cultivating peace in your daily life. The inner peace that you helped create is now paving the way for world peace. Imagine!

3 ways to bring more peace into your workplace
Host a “Digital Detox” at your office. Turn off your computer screens, put down your cell phones for 5 minutes. Breathe. Stretch.
Spend time looking at –or even better, being in- nature. Time in nature can help to lower blood pressure and increase peace of mind. Even a little time helps-recent studies have shown that just 40 seconds of gazing at natural scenery can increase focus and concentration.
Forgive someone in your life. Forgiveness is not about accepting or condoning wrongdoing. It is a courageous choice to let go and continue on. Forgiveness creates the space for freedom and peace to live.

What a great idea. Taking time out from the festival was well worth this very sweet meditation and contemplation. Thank youHuge thanks to everyone who joined us for #hammocktime at WOMADelaide last weekend. We were fully booked out from lunchtime on the second day, which was most delightful (for us, at least)! Fortunately, as there tend to be a few distractions at festivals like WOMADelaide, we were also able to fit a bunch of people visiting on one-day passes in to some no-show slots too. Next year we will come back with MOAR hammocks and a heap more guides (well, here's hoping we will!).

During hammocktime we asked our participants to consider three questions:
Q1: What would make the world a better place?
Q2: What can I do personally to enact change?
Q3: What can we do collectively to enact change?

The idea is to create a word cloud data visualisation as a kind of mood snapshot, representing the values and beliefs of each location at that moment in time. As the project develops we will be visiting different communities in different contexts, so it'll be interesting to see how the clouds vary.

This album shows the collective output from almost 200 delightful WOMADelaide participants - What a lovely bunch of humans!

Feel free to add your thoughts, reflections, feedback or photos from your experiences with us via twitter.com/feesable, our blog hammocktime.withknown.com/2015/hammocktime-womadelaide-word-cloud or in the comments here (but obviously not while you're in a hammock...)

On behalf of your guides, Steven Abbey, Calixta Cheers, Anna Crump, Indigo Eli, Kim Pedler, Scott Wings, Manal Younus, my bus homeJames, and myself: Thank you so very much for sharing your hammocktime with us!
