OurEarth Project

OurEarth Summit 2020 is a call for action to link Earth Repair Issues with Effective Solution Providers using Military Resources to accept and manage the role of working for the health of the whole planet.

OurEarth envisions “Caretakers of the Earth” Eco-Agents trained by Veterans and Youth Leaders playing a global augmented reality game that helps to identify and solve issues around the planet.

Inspired by Bruce Lipton: “Humanity is like a super organism now connecting intelligently: like the intelligent cells of our human body we can respond with a defence system when needed, and the rest of the time work on building up resilience.”Join with us in collaboration over the next four years on effecting Global Earth Repair and participation in OurEarth Summit 2020

We don't need to dig up any more oil to build our roads - we can recycle plastic and use that instead!

A Public meeting has been called with the intention to develop resilience within the Byron Shire to deal with crisis management at the best levels in the future.

Thursday 11th May at Mullum Civic Centre. 6-10 pm.

The recent floods throughout our region highlighted the need to constantly upgrade our community preparedness and resilience, especially given a future very likely to include more intense weather events which will have continuing significant impacts throughout our region.
This meeting has not been called as a chance to attack Council or to complain about what didn't happen. We're calling the best and brightest minds to assemble and consider in depth what was effective, what did not work , and what we need to do in the future in terms of action plans for first responders, the community at large, and council.
We are especially keen to draw on the wisdom of our whole community. Many people were engaged in dealing with crisis matters in creative and innovative ways. We are also aware that certain systems failed and we need to make certain there is a higher level of ongoing reliability for such systems in the future.
The OurEarth movement, which started here in Byron Shire, is committed to a deep resilience strategy for smaller communities around the planet. It is our attention to develop the skills and trainings here in Byron Shire. Deep resilience is more than simply management of a crisis. It talks to the need for access to fresh clean water, fresh food, Energy sustainability, trauma management, and a host of other issues that together make for a safe effective community. This meeting is about gathering what is already in place, and finding out what needs to be improved or put in place so that we're all better able to manage to such issues in the future.
There are of course special interest issues that will be looked into, such as the needs of children, the elderly, the disabled and even management of pets for examples. The coordination of first responders and the relaying of significant information to all who need to know is a key priority.
There are also issues relating to effluent management, and the dangers of contaminated water, as well as safety around power lines and electricity issues in the home and the multitude of other practical matters.
There are many other considerations such as advance preparations, effective insurance, and even longer term issues relating to where habitat should be discouraged or relocated.
We are calling for Community Leaders to show up and participate in a world cafe style forum where all will have an opportunity to share their wisdom and views for the common good.
